The Odisha government has launched three pioneering initiatives under the Subhadra Yojana, aimed at empowering women and fostering self-reliance.
Announced during the ‘Subhadra ru Mudra’ program at the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida unveiled the initiatives: ‘Suna Subhadra’, ‘Kuha Subhadra’, and ‘Subhadra Setu’.
New Initiatives Under Subhadra Yojana
1️⃣ Suna Subhadra – This initiative enables citizens to directly communicate with relevant departments to seek clarifications and address concerns.
2️⃣ Kuha Subhadra – This aims to enhance transparency by ensuring government departments proactively engage with beneficiaries to understand their service-related issues.
3️⃣ Subhadra Setu – Acting as a bridge for beneficiaries turning 21 years old, this initiative helps them transition into self-reliant individuals through skill development and economic opportunities.
Government’s Vision for Women Empowerment
Speaking at the event, Deputy CM Pravati Parida emphasized that Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries will play a vital role in economic independence, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and industrial growth. She stated,
“Our government aims to see Subhadra Yojana beneficiaries in villages become entrepreneurs, strengthening Odisha’s economy and empowering women.”
The initiatives reflect the Odisha government’s commitment to fostering transparency, communication, and empowerment for women across the state.
First Installment Update for Beneficiaries
Deputy CM Parida also urged eligible beneficiaries who have not yet received their first installment under the scheme to visit their bank branches on January 29 and 30 to resolve NPCI-related issues and claim their entitled benefits.
